Dental Bridges
Missing teeth can affect how you eat, speak, and smile—and can even impact the alignment of your remaining teeth. A dental bridge is a trusted, long-lasting solution for replacing one or more missing teeth, restoring both function and appearance.
What is a Dental Bridge?
A dental bridge fills the gap left by missing teeth using one or more artificial teeth (called pontics) that are anchored to the surrounding natural teeth or dental implants (abutment teeth).
Bridges can be:.
- Fixed – permanently cemented in place for maximum stability.
- Removable – can be taken out for cleaning but offer less stability than fixed bridges.
Our most common option is a fixed bridge, which looks, feels, and functions like natural teeth.
Benefits of a Dental Bridge
A crown is a custom-made “cap” that covers a tooth to restore its shape, size, and strength. Crowns are often used when:
- Restores your ability to chew and speak normally
- Prevents remaining teeth from shifting out of place
- Maintains the natural shape of your face and smile
- Helps prevent bite and jaw joint problems caused by missing teeth
- Supports lips and cheeks for a youthful appearance
The Bridge Process – Two to Three Visits

Visit 1 – Preparation
- The teeth next to the gap are shaped to make room for crowns.
- Impressions are taken to ensure a precise fit and natural look.
- A temporary bridge is placed to protect your teeth and gums.

Visit 2 (and sometimes Visit 3) – Placement
- The temporary bridge is removed.
- Your custom bridge is fitted, adjusted, and permanently cemented in place.
- You leave with a complete smile and restored function.
Materials Used
Bridges can be crafted from porcelain, gold alloys, or a combination of porcelain fused to metal for strength and beauty. Porcelain bridges are often chosen for their ability to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.
